Every situation is different. A very rough estimate is $150 per hour but that does not take into account the particulars of a given action. The initial consultation is always free and you will be given a detailed estimate shortly after the consultation so you will have the information needed to retain our services.
The path to justice can be quick and direct but at other times it can be long and winding. We will maintain contact with you and provide our best estimates throughout your proceedings. As always, you are encouraged to contact us with any questions and/or concerns you may have regarding your action.
The decision to retain us for our services is a personal one that can only be made by you. We will do our upmost to provide you with all the information you need to make this important decision. Whether you retain us or not, we are obligated to provide you a written letter of engagement if you retain us, or a letter of disengagement if you do not retain our services.
The short answer is yes, confidential communication is protected. More specifically, A court may order confidential communications to be disclosed in certain, specific circumstances. There is case law (such as R. v McClure, Chancey v. Dharmadi, among others) where it was held that communications made by a client to a paralegal are privileged.
